About Shropshire Country Oils

In 2004 a former farmer, Mike Pepler, discovered the benefits of cold pressed Rapeseed Oil and believed this could be a way of diversifying local farm production . In the past rapeseed oil has been used mainly in margarine and processed vegetable oils. In the Summer of 2007 the first oil pressing was produced and launched at the Church Stretton Food Fair. There are now about a dozen producers of cold pressed rapeseed oil across the country.
